Not Just a Moment

God places specific people in our lives for a reason. He might place a person in your life to grow with, but that relationship is just a moment—a small moment in time given to teach you a lesson. This happens—and will happen—quite often. It’s an unavoidable fact that people come and go, but remember, it’s for a reason. That moment might hurt, make you sad, or even angry! But like any moment, it will pass, and the next one is right around the corner.

God knows that people need one another. Though He is all you truly need, He also created others so that we wouldn’t be alone. He understands that we can’t handle relationships that constantly come and go, ones that only last for a moment. That’s why, every once in a while, He blesses us with someone special. Someone who might take time to truly know and understand, but who isn’t just a fleeting moment in time. A person who is a moment—but one that lasts forever. That is a blessing.

This special person can come in many forms: a mom, dad, friend, spouse, etc. Each one is special and a blessing.

I would rather wait for a moment that never ends than settle for a thousand moments that come and go.
